Florida legislators will be asked to pass a bill that will protect all FADA members by allowing the free and open marketplace to continue to be available for aftermarket sales products.  After seeing what a few OEM’s have in store for you, FADA sought protections for your customers under HB 783 and SB 832, sponsored by Representative Albritton and Senator Flores respectively. Please contact your House and Senate members immediately and ask them to support these bills when they come up for a vote. These bills (HB 783/SB 832) protect the consumer’s right to choose any F&I product and pursue financing with a captive, as long as the product is like, kind and quality.

On February 12th, FADA hosted many dealers on our Board of Directors, as well as additional dealer guests in Tallahassee.  They represented our membership so well in the halls of the Florida Legislature, and their work built on the legacy that FADA has developed as a strong advocate for Florida dealerships. Our thanks to: Bob Lee, Lee Automotive Group Inc; Jonathan Chariff, South Automotive Group; Mike Futrell, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Chevrolet; Bob Hudson, Tallahassee Ford Lincoln; Ken Marks, Capital City Automotive Group; Mario Murgado, Brickell Motors; George Nahas, George Nahas Chevrolet; Tom O’Steen, O’Steen Automotive Group; John Forehand, South Motors Automotive; Rick Baker, South Florida Automobile Dealers Assoc.; Chris Dudley, Southern Strategy Group; Ron LaFace, Capital City Consulting; Frank Mayernick, The Mayernick Group; Russ Klenet, Russ Klenet & Associates; Alex Kurkin, Kurkin Brandes, LLP; Marc Brandes, Kurkin Brandes, LLP; Craig Spickard, Kurkin Brandes, LLP; and Ed Quinton, Quinton & Paretti, P.A..
