The Florida statute seems clear, but FADA is being told that there are rampant examples of manufacturers (like Chrysler/Fiat) who are changing part numbers and drastically reducing pricing in recalls and the impact on dealer profitability is enormous. Florida Statutes 320.696 Section 3 (d) “A licensee shall not establish or implement a special part or component number for parts used in pre-delivery, dealer preparation, warranty, extended warranty, certified  pre-owned warranty, recall, campaign service, authorized goodwill, or maintenance-only applications if that results in lower compensation to the dealer than as calculated in this subsection”
