In light of the COVID public health emergency, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has delayed opening the 2019 EEO-1 Component 1 Data Collection to a time when the agency anticipates that filers will have resumed more normal operations.

On June 12, 2020, the EEOC received final approval from the Office of Management and Budget to collect EEO-1 Component 1 data workforce demographic data from covered employers. The EEOC expects to begin collecting the 2019 EEO-1 Component 1 data along with the 2020 EEO-1 Component 1 data in March 2021. It will notify filers of the precise date the collections will open as soon as it is available.

The opening of the 2019 and 2020 EEO-1 Component 1 Data Collections, as well as the new deadline date, will be announced by posting a notice on the EEOC home page and sending a notification letter to eligible EEO-1 filers. Dealers with 100 or more employees are subject to the EEOC’s EE0-1 Survey filing requirements. If your EEO-1 contact person has changed, please submit a letter on company letterhead signed by an authorized company representative, indicating the new contact’s name, title, phone number and email address to the Employer Data Team. Please remember to include your company number (if known) in your request.
