In the spirit of helping out those in need, DeLuca Toyota sponsored the “Share Your Christmas Food Drive” on December 7, 2022. The food drive is the signature event for the Orlando, FL NBC affiliate WESH 2-TV in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
“This is the fourth year we have served as the Marion County drop-off location. Our Toyota dealership allows easy access for the community to drive right up and drop off food donations. We made it very easy. One in eight of our neighbors are facing hunger and one in five children are at risk for going to bed hungry” noted Frank DeLuca, owner/president of DeLuca Toyota.
All the food and money collected stayed locally in Marion County, FL. In total 11,362 pounds of food was collected. For every pound of food collected DeLuca Toyota donated $1 up to $10,000. Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida was presented with a $10,000 donation from DeLuca Toyota. The dealership has donated $40,000 to the cause since the partnership was formed in 2018.
“Giving back is something I have always done for the community. Not only does it feel good…it’s the right thing to do. We have provided over 11 million dollars of support for local outreach and support over the dealership’s 45-year history.” noted Frank DeLuca.
Frank DeLuca founded the Ocala, Florida Toyota dealership in 1978 and is the owner/president of the dealership.
