The Federal Trade Commission(FTC) has recently conducted field investigations to check compliance with the window sticker requirements for used vehicles. Dealers should review procedures and verify that their dealership is in compliance with the FTC window sticker rules.

The buyer’s guide window sticker must be posted prominently and conspicuously on or in a used vehicle offered for sale. A vehicle is offered for sale when a dealership displays it for sale or lets a customer inspect it for the purpose of buying it, even if the vehicle is not fully prepared for delivery.
